Good Book: Groundhog Weather School

When Groundhog realizes he needs helpers all over the country to accurately forecast the weather, he establishes a school to teach young groundhogs how to properly determine when spring will arrive. SLJ reviewed for grades 2-4.

Good Book: Snook Alone

Snook Alone
by Marilyn Nelson, illustrated by Timothy Basil Ering
Snook, the dog, loves Abba Jacob, a monk. They make their home on a far island and Snook keeps Abba Jacob company as he prays and works all day long. When a terrible storm separates the two, Snook finds himself alone and the two must find a way to reunite with one another. SLJ reviewed for grades K-4.
