What a Week!

The Purefoy Library has changed a lot in the past few days...

Tuesday: Our first day in the building - I unpacked a few boxes of things for the workroom and arranged all our shelves.  Luckily the beautiful dark work shelving is all on wheels!

Wednesday: The books arrived!  232 boxes of books for our opening collection were delivered, all labeled, color-coded, and in call number order.

5 pallets of library books sure take up a lot of room.

Thursday: Shelving Day!  From 8:00-3:00 a team from our book vendor Mackin helped get the collection on the shelves while a few library friends helped with little projects too and our wonderful custodial staff helped keep everything looking neat and clean.

Thursday Morning:
Lots to Do!

Mrs. Matlack, our library aide, especially enjoyed processing the animal books donated by the Corbell PTA.

Thursday Afternoon:
Over 8,000 books are ready and waiting to be checked out soon. :)

Next week we should get a circulation desk, computers, and another pallet of books to add to the shelves.  We're almost ready for school to begin!
