Teacher Info

Teachers at Purefoy bring students to the library regularly to check out books, enjoy stories read-aloud, and conduct research. Students will be able to come to the library independently when they have time during the school day to check out books, read, or research topics at the point-of-need.

We Want Teachers to Know:

1. How to view our calendar: Find it here, a printed version is also on a clipboard on the counter.  Pick a time you’d like to bring your class and let me know when to expect you – that’s it! We have a flexible schedule, so students can come to the library for small group activities, checkouts, or independent reading or research throughout the day as well.

2. We love to collaborate: How can the library help you? What can we teach together? I have ideas and I’m sure you do too – let’s do at least two research activities together this year.  See the list at the end of the page for ideas.

3. You can search the catalog anytime/anywhere: The link is right on your desktop, open it and explore to see what you’d like us to pull, or let us know if you need additional suggestions. Don't forget to plan ahead - a student might have just checked out a book you need for a required lesson.  To get materials quickly email us a list of titles you'd like for your classroom or send students down to checkout for you.

Please let us know if we can assist with anything, we can't wait to help!
