Bluebonnet Books

You can help pick the best book in Texas! To participate just read or listen to five books from the current Bluebonnet Reading List and complete a quick book review to earn credit for each book. Choose 5 books you like best from the 20 nominees - or read them all. Complete your reviews by January 25th to earn an invitation to the Bluebonnet Voting Celebration - a special activity at school. We hope to see you there!

The Texas Bluebonnet Award is a project of the Texas Library Association created to encourage a love of voluntary reading. Since 1981, students across the state have selected a top title from 20 nominees to win the Bluebonnet Award each year.

Eligible voters are photographed for the library windows and recognized at assembly once a month. Come check the Purefoy Library Programs binder on the library counter to check your progress in the Bluebonnet Program and our other library activities.
