We're not checking out books anymore, but that doesn't mean there's not plenty to read while school is closed.
Try these great reading activities this summer...
Future 2nd-5th graders: Look for information with your report card about a genre reading program for the summer. Participating students will be invited to a fun breakfast bash in the fall.
Visit http://friscoisd.lib.overdrive.com or download the free Overdrive App.
If you like getting rewards, consider trying a commercial reading program too. Be aware, these programs are really just advertising geared towards kids, but if you already love to read why not take advantage and get a free prize?
- Amazon Summer Reading List
- Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program - Kids get a FREE book when they read 8 books.
- Chuck E Cheese Reading Incentive Chart - Get 10 FREE tokens after 2 weeks of reading, a food purchase is required to claim.
- Pizza Hut Book-It Summer Challenge
- Scholastic Summer Challenge
- Sylvan’s Book Adventure Program - Kids in grades K-8 can earn prizes.
Happy Summer Reading!
